Wednesday 18th March was a fantastic night and opportunity for Standish Panthers Storm u11’s, playing a team of extremely talented players selected from the state of Texas and the state of Oklahoma in the USA.
The lads made us proud on and off the pitch, firstly by giving our guests a warm welcome to William Fosters ground and then by performing to a superb standard of football on the pitch.
The players all got to know each other and talked enthusiastically about Fortnite, “candy bars” and favourite football players and teams, it was superb to see.
The game itself was “awesome” with some spectacular goals, every player gave their all!!
The final score was 3-3
We are now looking to arrange more matches for our other teams and hope this can continue to develop our young players.
