I am Paul Green and I manage Standish Panthers U-14’s with my assistant, John Edwards. The team plays its matches in the Wigan District Youth League (need to check this is the right title as each manager put it differently!!!) and our home games take place at Ashfield Park, Standish.

We have a very clear philosophy for the team that focuses upon enjoyment and playing to the best of your ability. This allows us to concentrate on the important things knowing that if we do these things well the results will take care of themselves. We have seven players who joined the squad as U-8’s and are still enjoying playing for this Standish Panthers team so we take this as the best possible endorsement for our approach towards young player development.
